Tonja Carpenter is a graduate of Baylor University and served as a Breastfeeding Counselor with Breastfeeding USA for several years before becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She helped to run a local mother-to-mother weekly breastfeeding support group, has completed extensive training in orofacial myofunctional therapy, is a highly skilled lactation consultant, and provides clinical management of all lactation concerns. She is also a Postpartum Certified Doula with DONA International. She owns Postpartum Doula Services of Waco & Lactation Services of Waco and is the founder and CEO of Community Doulas of Waco which provides birth & postpartum Doula support as well as basic breastfeeding support to low-income families. Tonja lives in Waco with her husband, Vincent of 29 years. They have 5 grown children and two grandchildren.
